Server "Detect Time Zone" option makes infinite loading when active (Chrome browser only) #76

sebastien.floch ·

Hello,

After upgrading our server to the latest version 12 (12.0.10, 2022-06-30) we've found that the server option "Detect Time Zone" makes pages keep on refreshing in loop prior displaying (they never display, infinit loading). Our server time zone is set to UTC+01:00 (OS is Windows 10).

It happens with google Chrome (Version 103.0.5060.134 (Build officiel) (64 bits)) and Edge browsers. No issue with Firefox (102.0.1 (64-bit)) though.

We are unable to reproduce it with a local server.

Thank you,
Seb

Note that one of our coworker also had the issue with Firefox. No web browser gave him the ability to bypass the problem.

What is the JVM you are using for QB server? Is cookie and javascript enabled for these browsers? Are you connecting to QB via proxy?

sebastien.floch ·

The JVM used by the server is :

openjdk version "11.0.12" 2021-07-20
OpenJDK Runtime Environment 18.9 (build 11.0.12+7)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM 18.9 (build 11.0.12+7, mixed mode)

Yes, cookies and javascript are enabled on those Web browsers. We tried several combinaisons without any improvement (private navigation / all addons turned off).
We haven't been able to reproduce the issue with Firefox on the coworker computer as said in the first post, so with Firefox looks ok. But another coworker is able to access the servers with chrome (same version as us) but Edge is 100% not working for us all when "Detect Time Zone" is active.

Note, that we have the same issue with this url https://demo.pmease.com/dashboard.
